Hey there! I’m Rosemary and this is my podcast, The Rosemary Pope Show.
I am the author of, Joy In Suffering: A memoir of one couple’s pregnancy losses and how they found happiness. Here on the Rosemary Pope show I continue to share my story and encourage others to find the abiding joy of the Lord that I found so many years ago.
It is my hope that this show leaves you feeling peace, inspired, and ready to live a life of joy!
Who is Rosemary Pope?
I am a wife, mother, friend, and most importantly a believer in Jesus Christ. Yes, I’m sure that about sums it up, but to go a little deeper….
I’ve been married to my rugged man for just over 14 years. We were actually high school sweethearts who got married when we were still babies at barely 18 & 19 years old. We knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and figured we shouldn’t wait any longer.
After a couple years of married life we found out we were expecting a baby. We were nervous and happy that our family was growing. Unfortunately, this pregnancy marked a long dark journey to motherhood.
Without getting into the nitty-gritty of my motherhood journey right now, I’ll sum it up as this. I am a mother to 8 children to date. 4 in Heaven and 4 I get to raise on Earth.
I’ve delivered my stillborn son, carried another deemed incompatible with life, endured 2 early miscarriages, and delivered 4 beautiful healthy babies.
I couldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is because of him, that I am able to put one foot in front of the other and keep living each day.
Who is this show for?
If you’re a fellow loss mama, or know someone who is grieving, I hope you’ll stick around. I invite you to listen in and make yourself at home.
Here on the show you’ll hear about my journey to motherhood. Things that helped me, Practical things to help you, From other loss moms and their unique take on things surrounding grief, and my husband, Bobby, with his view of life. Other times I may step out and cover other topics surrounding living a life of joy… whatever that may be.
It is my hope that you truly feel comfort in knowing someone out there gets you, understands the pain you must be feeling, and know that it’s okay to smile again. It is my chief goal of the show to leave you feeling peace, comfort, and inspired to live each day with joy, regardless of the circumstances you’ve found yourself in.
I want to leave you with a quote from my book:
We learned early on that life isn’t always easy. It isn’t always going to transpire as we hope. But childlike faith was instilled in Bobby and me when we were in our youth. Once our faith was rocked, we questioned, but to believe God had something remarkable for us, we had to put action to our belief, even when it hurt. We learned how precious life was, including our own, and have not wanted our moments to pass us by . . . even when life seemed grim.
We are never promised tomorrow, so we’ve found our- selves wanting to make each day count. It isn’t easy, and we still struggle, but we have found that the joy of the Lord is our strength. We have learned that no matter the circumstances, we can always hold to His promises . . . and choose joy.
